A very long evening

Hey JBlogosphere and others...

Sorry I've been out of touch the past few hours. On my way home, about 15 minutes from my house, I received a hot alert of 3 possible terrorists...in our settlement. Phoning my wife to lock the doors, turn out the lights downstairs and stay upstairs, I rushed home with my strobe light flashing, sent out a beeper to our CTU while coordinating with my counterpart who was already home. Rushed into the house, threw on a bulletproof vest, grabbed my M16 -- and my wife, G-d bless her, gave me 2 sandwiches and a bottle of water to break the Fast, (17th of Tammuz), as I rushed out to patrol. Just got back now (4 hours later)...apparently the threat we were worried about didn't materialize.

All of the West Bank is alight tonight with fireworks from the Palestinian villages (along with scattered automatic gunfire), as our neighbors celebrate...the shelling of Haifa.

Haifa was shelled tonight. The rocket swooped over Haifa's bay, the chemical plants and landed in the middle of a road, injuring one person very slightly.

The border is quiet now up North...and no rockets have been shot over at us since 11:00 PM.

Let's hope it stays quiet.

And a good evening to all.

Jameel

Wherever I am, my blog turns towards Eretz Yisrael

fox news reporting that the iranian guard fired the missles at haifa. can you confirm and, if true, what are the ramifications of that?

  4. Kasher: Sorry man, I'm zonked right now and need to desperately shower, and go to sleep.

My uniform is soaking wet, and Im exhausted.

The ramifications of the Iranian Gaurd shooting the rocket is that Israel will be looking towards Iran and Syria...though the Hizbolla is under orders from Iran anyway. Sorry I can't confirm anything now...Nasralla's not in the mood to talk to Jameel this evening :-)

Justin and Chaim - thanks for the kind wishes. We'll do our best.

    Have a good night!
