Gilad Shalit's Voice from Captivity

Analysts are saying that the tape may have been spliced from multiple sources and based on wording, pronounciations, and intonation he was probably forced to read from prewritten scripts.

  6. I guess the line about not being a drug dealer was a reference to elhanan tanenbaum and the deal that was struck with hezbollah a few years ago.

    Hamas is using him for psychological warfare. On the other hand they must be feeling pressure if they felt the need to release information about him.

    Israel should be ripping the place up looking for him.

    I would hate to be an IDF soldier right now, knowing that if I were captured the army wouldn't still be actively fighting for my release.

  11. It suggests a lot of things or no things at all.

    Anything he says is irrelevant anyway, as at best it was said under duress, and at worst, was never said by him at all in any context relevant to his current status.
