  1. BA's not going to change their policy against naming a shevet for a person. They didn't after Ghandi was murdered, and I'm betting they won't now.

  6. We know it's Dvir. Our 15-yr old daughter told us so. She's pissed. Dvir is also the name of the new garin in Ezra (named last lag baomer) and she really liked Elkana.

Anyway, the sweatshirts are made and the signs are up.

My kids are in Ariel (the youth group) so we haven't gotten past Shabbat irgun yet. Girls are next week, boys the week after.

    Shavua tov!

    Gidon says:
I never heard of this policy. If anything, it's new, as Shevet Shacham is named for Moshe Hayim Shapira; and Shevet Zuriel for Mr. Admonit; and Yedidya for Mr. Cohen; and Neria for you['d better] know who...

    Thanks and God Bless,

  9. They did a fake-out here and lit up the fire showing "Shachar," but then did a computer presentation and announced "Dvir."

In the end, the informal poll of the kids found they actually liked "Shachar" more. Go figure.

    Any Hatechiyanikim in the audience?
