1st thank you for posting a great blog with both humor and information not readily found elsewhere. after seeing the vid clip, one has to remember what Olmert did as Mayor of Jerusalem (pretty much nothing)and Teddy Kolelek as well (also not much other than build a stadium, name it after himself and create anger among Yidden)When will Israelis, Jews in the world, people in the world realize that arabs only want to kill and maim and then blame everyone else for their problems. The Pkadim were going to do their job, to give out parking tickets, the money then is supposed to be used to fund the city's municipal responsibilities such as streets, sanitation and sewers ect... but the arabs have been living in their unpaved hovels throwing their garbage in the back near the outhouse in the yard and drinking from wells for years and even now, so of course they are angry at us for trying to make them into "civilized" humans. keep up the good work and I am still waiting for a waffle house to open near brooklyn
compare him to herod if you please, but like his ancient predecessor, kollek too oversaw jerusalem's growth while leaving himself open to critcism in other areas.
I particularly enjoyed the Arab gentleman in the cardigan and neck-tie who first checked to make sure no one was looking before he participated in the attmepted lynch.
Make all the jokes you want- I was SO scared to go to work in EJ after this. Especially that part with the guy in the white cardigan who suddenly joins the fray.
"I particularly enjoyed the Arab gentleman in the cardigan . . ."
considering that he looks a few years older than the youths, he is probably a veteran of the first intafades and he just wanted to throw a stone for old time's sake. you know, stone a jew for nostalgia.
TAFKA:
what do you have to be worried about? you're one of the good ones. i'm sure they'd never harm you. you know, they can tell the difference between the righties and the lefties.

ReplyDeleteAnon: Sorry, Muqata waffles are exclusively offered only in Israel!
ReplyDeleteThe guy in the cardigan is sort of like the "cultured" Edward Said wearing a suit and throwing stones at Israel from across the border in Lebanon.
ReplyDeleteBut, if that is part of your culture, then that would make you cultured.
Make all the jokes you want- I was SO scared to go to work in EJ after this. Especially that part with the guy in the white cardigan who suddenly joins the fray.
ReplyDeleteAt this rate, I might even start blogging again.
pp: Makes you wonder who you are sharing your office with.
