Wherever I am, my blog turns towards Eretz Yisrael טובה הארץ מאד מאד
As a zionist statement, I really, really love this:

The lyrics are totally beyond me, but the images speak for themselves, and the mood of the thing, and that curious ending, which is on the album version too.
Thanks for the link!!
ReplyDeleteOh...one of these days there will be a pair of cuffs that fit him!
ReplyDeleteI don't expect too much in the way of courtesy from Jewish Israelis, Jameel, but since you haven't bothered to acknowledge any of my comments since the first, I shan't, as you requested in that one, keep coming back. Life's too short to waste time making overtures to people who don't respond. You have probably formed the erroneous impression that all non-Jewish zionists are parasitic arse lickers who can be taken for granted and observed with contemptuous amusement as they try to engage your exalted attention. Bye bye!
ReplyDeleteLooks like one of the loonies got out. And its not even the full moon yet...
ReplyDeleteZionism means more than just rebuilding the state and settling the land. It means the renewal of the Jewish people's inner life. One chapter of Israel's storied history drew to a close. Another one has opened and no one knows where it will lead but hopefully closer to the G-d in Heaven who is the only ruler every Jew is compelled to obey. May Israel have many more birthdays to come!
ReplyDeleterowan, it is too bad you don't expect courtesy. However, the nature of comments on a blog post is that often, they go unanswered, as the commenters and blog owners go about their normal lives. Sometimes it takes time for an answer to appear.
ReplyDeleteDon't take offense where none is meant.
And I was just beginning to forget that I was owed waffles.
ReplyDeleteChag Sameach!
Rowan: Mevaseretzion is correct. It's challenging enough in my life to keep up the blog and the few hobbies that I have (oh yeah, and my work and family) to be able to always answer comments personally. This was a particularly hectic week...
ReplyDeleteBaila: You *will* get your waffles. We're working on the muqata waffle bash...(but invitation only, of course)
Gila: I'm not so sure...we'll see what happens this week.
NormanF; Amen!
although i think rowans comments were rude and childish, i also feel that there is this 'bloggers clique'. and even though i personaly am not left out i think you might be alienating alot more people then just rowan. the most blatant example is this whole waffle thing (and as you know ive been to a waffle dinner so its not that im personaly feeling left out) think about it. (and so sorry about your dud fiasco!)
ReplyDeleteGemar Hakira Tova is brilliant.
