The daughter in law of Nizar Riyan, senior Hamas terrorist killed last Thursday gave an interview today to "Ma'an" and described Riyan's last moments on Earth. (Sorry the Nizar video is a bit crass, it's the only one I could find)

The daughter-in-law arrived at the family's home an hour before the bombing. When Nizar Riyan saw that she arrived, he laughed and asked her, "why did you come, do you want to die as a "shihada" (a martyr)?"

Of course, she answered in the affirmative.

A bit later, Riyan and his children swapped jokes about death and martyrdom. Riyan complained that his children aren't prepared to die with him, yet the stated they were prepared.

"We will live together, or die toegther", his children said.

His youngest son said that he wassn't willing to live without his father, so he also wanted to die a martyr like is father, and enter paradise in the afterlife.

Afterwards, some of his children said that the bodies of the casualties are taken to the morgue and kept in a freezer. Riyan laughed and said he doesnt want to be cold, and besides, he's too fat to fit in the morgue's freezer.

"I want to be buried right after I'm killed, so I can go straight to heaven", said Riyan.

Afterwards, his daughter-in-law left the house, and the house was bombed by the IAF, killing Riyan and his family.

1:56 PM A Workable Solution: by Jameel @ The Muqata

Many scratch their heads and wonder what sort of solutions exists for the Hamas arms smuggling tunnels in the Rafiach/Philidephi corridor between the southern Gaza Strip and Egypt.

The Muqata has a real proposal, that offers many, many positive aspects solutions, and is workable.

I present, the modified Med-Dead project. The project proposal has been around for decades -- and in a nutshell is this. A waterway canal is dug from the Mediterranean Sea (sea level), eastwards across Israel to the Dead Sea (420 metres (1378 ft) below sea level, and its shores are the lowest point on the surface of the Earth on dry land.)

This would accomplish the following:

1. Start refilling the Dead Sea, which is evaporating away year by year.
2. Provide for a water desalination plant -- desperately needed water sources for the region.
3. Create thousands of jobs.
4. All for Creation of a hydroelectric generation plant, (the 420 water drop is perfect for hydrop electric generation) -- clean, green, energy.

The Muqata's plan goes one step forward. We propose that the initial water channel from the Medeterannean Sea start not on the Israeli shoreline, but on the Gaza shoreline at its southernmost point. By carving out a 500 meter wide channel for this waterway, it would be virtually impossible for underground tunnels to be built for arms smuggling.

5. Prevention of arms smuggling to Gaza.

Seeing that this is a win-win-win solution for the entire region, I would expect the UN and EU support it fully.

Yet somehow, I doubt it...

Police were searching Saturday night for a foreign reporter working for an Iranian TV network who reported the IDF incursion into Gaza before the military authorized the release of the information to the public.

Also Saturday evening, a reporter for the Lebanese LBC network who was broadcasting near the Gaza Strip said the IDF was moving from Nahal Oz towards the Nezarim junction. The reporter surmised that the military was planning to sever the Gaza Strip in half, effectively isolating Gaza City in an effort to minimize Hamas terrorists' ability to exploit urban areas.

  1. Lunacy 1. Members of the "post-Zionist" Left are demonstrating against the Gaza Campaign in the midst of war. Why aren't they arrested for treason & aiding the enemy?
Why doesn't the Gov't declare them traitors? (This is the result of the education system of Israel's Left gov't)
Will the police treat these traitors with the same force as they meeted out to 'Hilltop Youth"?

Lunacy 2. Israeli court rules that journalists must be allowed into Gaza under the guise of Freedom of Speech. So why was it denied to Arutz7? Are the Israeli judges paid by Israel or the P.A.? Does the court think the journalists will send out pro-Israel reports once in Gaza?

Lunacy 3. Countries that are Israel's enemies have journalists in Israel & are sending out reports potentially harming the IDF. Why were they allowed in?

Lunacy 4. the IDF warned people in Hamas leader Rayan's's building of impending strike. He was hit & died because he refused to leave. How many other Hamas leaders have escaped?

God bless & protect the soldiers of the IDF

  2. God bless Israel always now and forever. May the crazed nations of the world that can't see the forrest for the trees be forgiven for reporting the garbage that they do.
Be safe IDF. I always some to this blog when I want to know more of the real truth.
How long did people on this planet think Israel was going to take Hamas sending rockets into Israel everyday.
The people of Gaza that want to live a decent life need to leave and gfo some place else. The earth is a big place and there is plenty of room for everyone.
That Gaza garbage dump that the palistine people insist on living in is just that a garbage dump.
What can they expect to come from a garbage dump but garbage scumlords.
The human mind is a terrible thing to waste yet it is a easy thing to brainwash. That is what has happened to these people. They are so full of hate you would things they were all decendents of Satan himself.
May God give the good people of the earth the strength and courage to rid the world of the evil ones.
To me Islam is a cult. The Koran is a book of hate and evil.
    Love to Israel.

  6. Gilad, not only are the places like CNN slow but they are always quick to blame Israel and make them out to be the guys.

I prefer Fox. At least they are more balanced and fair.

  7. it seems that shopping center incident was a video of a 2005 hamas explosion mistake.

    This was from liveleak:

The recent videos shown of an alleged Israeli bomb drop is actually footage of an explosion that occurred at a Hamas Rally on September 23rd, 2005.

  18. "4:55 PM Israel TV Channel 10: Hamas Sources state: If we knew this [Israel's massive strike] was going to happen, we would not have broken the tahadya (cease-fire)"

They should've been following Israeli politics. If they realized elections are coming up they probably would've waited...

On the other hand, maybe they're smarter than we think, perhaps they (hamas) saw how bad the left was doing in the polls and figured provoking them into some kind of half-baked response would strengthen them (the left) for the elections...
