You have to admit, sometimes Obama just makes it too easy. Of course, for the most part, He still gets away with it, but still, how many easy targets can one man keep providing.
Ayers, His priest, certain associates from Chicago; Obama certainly has a knack for racking up some very questionable company.
Former Irish president Mary Robinson is one of the people responsible for the anti-Semitic, anti-Israel Durban conference.
The conference she presided over was so bad, that the United States had no choice but to boycott it – because it turned into an overt anti-Israel hate-fest.
As mentioned in A7, in a BBC interview following the passage of the “Zionism = Racism” Durban text, Robinson described the outcome as “remarkably good, including on the issues of the Middle East.”
Of course with anti-Israel credentials like that, that makes her a shoo-in for a relationship with Obama.
And here you have it, Obama is planning to award a woman who has about her the terrible stench of anti-Semitism/Zionism with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
I guess if you remember who else He counts among His friends, such as the anti-Semitic priest, a terrorist who had problems with the weather, a corrupt Senator, this award makes sense.
Of course, just like in those relationships, Obama likes to hold them close, yet keep them far when inconvenient.
Spokesman Robert Gibbs said, “There are statements that obviously she has made that the President doesn't agree with, and that's probably true for a number of the people that the President is recognizing for their lifetime contributions.”
We seem to hear that statement a lot with this President when it comes to people he counts as friends (at least after it becomes known they are his friends).
