Well, Pesach is next week and one of the things that we do is move from the Rain Prayer(תפילת הגשם) to the Dew Prayer(תפילת טל). The understanding is that in Israel after Pesach it doesn't rain anymore. Well, it seems Hashem wanted to get a few more gallons in. We're having a freak hail/rain storm here. It went from zero to wet in under five minutes. The picture was taken less then 4 minutes after the rain started. And yes, all that white stuff is hail. The more the merrier!

ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing, we're in Modiin and the temp just dropped a lot and got dark. The winds were really blowing this morning.

ReplyDeleteThe weather in Hashmonaim held just long enough for us to have the dancing in the courtyard outside behind the shul/simcha hall. As we were cleaning up the meal it all broke loose and water began ro collect in the basement kitchen from the stairwell through the open door.

ReplyDeleteIn Haifa it has barely rained a drop this weekend. (We got tons of rain earlier in the winter though.)
ReplyDeleteThank you. We wished him a "binyan adei ad" so there is something ironic that he came to me three hours after the wedding and told me that his roof (the other side of our two family house) is leaking.

At least it's only the roof tiles...
Perhaps it really stop, but still in the future will come again.
