Everyone loves a NY parade -- and the Salute to Israel Day Parade of 2010 is no exception.
Jacob Richman sent me a link to over 100 of them -- see them here, by Steven Posner.
Here's a bunch that I liked.
And of course, the JBlogosphere Floats for 2010...

Wherever I am, my blog turns towards Eretz Yisrael טובה הארץ מאד מאד
I don't know why those pictures made me so sad. I have many happy memories of attending the parade. :/
ReplyDeleteJameel, is that a Photoshop or did the Muquata really have a float in the parade? ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhy are there no pictures from Srugim on The Jewish Channel's float?
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the parade, however every year it seems more and more like an ortho convention
ReplyDeleteMaybe that's because support for Israel remains very strong among the "orthos." Among the "cons" and "forms," not so much.
ReplyDeleteI like the 100 Years of Green
ReplyDeleteand
the
waffles of all the floats!
My favorite was the "I will Survive" Russian Jewry float
ReplyDeleteIt is great that American Jews salute Israel, but at the same time I can't help thinking that all of the money poured into organizing the parade and the floats could have gone to send more families on aliyah....Just a thought.
