Will the Muqata Ever Be the Same?

Long time friend of the blog, "Special Ed" sent me the following item which has rocked the Muqata blog to its very core.

Presenting, the "Wafflesicle" ...

What the iPad is to the iPod, the "Wafflesicle" is to the run of the mill breakfast "Waffle"

Forget everything you ever thought you knew about waffles. Because Lolly, a waffle maker that produces 9.4-inch waffle cones on a stick, has changed everything. Can I interest you in a wafflesicle? Of course I can.

Lolly, from Triangular Concept, can crank out four of these delicious-looking treats in under two minutes. Which is good, because that's about how long it'd take me to down the first batch and be ready for the second. [Triangular Concept via TheTrendyGirl via The Daily What]

I guess the West Coast Wafflemeister, Jack, will have to weigh in on this one...(and we haven't seen him around here since he inherited a fortune from Shola, the Nigerian Spammer)

  1. With posts like this, it's no wonder that the Muqata has been rapidly losing it's more moderate, original square-shaped-waffle-eating readership.

If I had more time to devote to breakfast issues, I would organize a boycott of your blog.

  2. Who cares about the old readers- they're old. It is time for the new, who appreciate the very cool machine that we have to get.

Time for another tiyul and waffle breakfast.

  4. i agree with old friend. these radical, reformist, dare i say "liberal" waffle machines will tempt our youth away from the values of their forefathers. if square waffles were good enough for rabbi akiva, they're good enough for us! we almost didn't survive the "eggo" heresy.

otoh, if you invert one of these puppies on top of another one you could make a cool skinny star of david...

  7. At first it looked like corn-on-the-cob?
    But, no, it's waffle-on-the-cob!
Whatever way you look at this, dare I say, 'russian' invention, its a mountful of dough.

Where in the world do you put the ice cream??

Personally, I like lite, tasty & petite waffles, not the fat belgium type.
    :-)
