The race is on to find the 20 or so Israeli companies that are working with the Palestinian Authority to build a new Arab city, while boycotting Israeli products and services from the "Occupied Territories". The language of the contract defining "Occupied Territories" is here:
We will need to hit back at the PA hard; be it firing all the PA Arab residents who work throughout Israel and the Jewish Settlement Communities, or simply boycotting any and all PA produce.
The Israeli companies are scared stiff that we will find out who they are...and we will find out soon enough.
Stay tuned...

firing all the PA Arab residents who work throughout Israel and the Jewish Settlement Communities
ReplyDeleteAre you actually suggesting firing some poor workers trying to support their families because the PA instituted a boycott? Do you think it will have any effect on the PA at all?
Gil: The PA is extremely sensitive to the plight of Palestinian workers: In Today's Haaretz (coincidentally) there's is the following article:
ReplyDeletePA lightens ban on working in settlements to ease Palestinian unemployment
Figures show number of Palestinians employed in settlements has increased to nearly 35,000; PA legislation barring employment there would be an economic blow to Palestinian population.
The Palestinian Authority has reconsidered a proposal that would have barred Palestinian laborers from working in West Bank Jewish settlements.
Although several PA officials, notably Economy Minister Hassan Abu Libdeh and Prime Minister Salad Fayyad, came out in favor of such a move at the beginning of the year, it appears the PA has decided not to push for legislation on the issue because it is unable to offer the workers alternative employment. Read it all here.
If the PA decides to impact the livelihood of Jews, why in the world should we accept it and continue employing Palestinians?!
The contracts should be voided by Israeli courts.
ReplyDeleteI'm sick of Jews who have no regard for their own people and give away their country's dignity for mere shekels.
Jews could stand to learn something from the Arabs about holding your head high.
