Oy, this makes me feel OLD! This is the way I remember Jerusalem. (Here I am masquerading as an immigrant, lousy accent and all, and you are posting 'historic' pictures which are of the Jerusalem I lived in for the first decade of my life here. When I come to Jerusalem now, I feel like saying 'what have they done with to my city????'
ReplyDeleteIsrael had two million in the 1960s and its hard to believe how fast the country developed in four decades and its population nearly quadrupled.
ReplyDeleteThere are more Jews living in Israel today than at any time during antiquity and within a generation nearly all of the world's Jews will live there.
