Richard Goldstone: I'm a loser

Richard Goldstone, the dupe (innocent children read this blog, so we are censoring our language), who headed up the commission that tried to compare Hamas attacking Israeli civilians and Israeli subsequently trying to defend and stop attacks against said civilians has come out in an op-ed piece today admitting that his Goldstone report is worthless, incorrect, lies, drivel, trash, and without having to say it outright, admits that he is a loser and a patsy for the Antisemites.

Some nuggets from article:

If I had known then what I know now, the Goldstone Report would have been a different document.
The allegations of intentionality by Israel were based on the deaths of and injuries to civilians in situations where our fact-finding mission had no evidence on which to draw any other reasonable conclusion.
In the end, asking Hamas to investigate may have been a mistaken enterprise.

Now Goldstone still thinks his little foray was not a bad idea - which is why he is still a loser.

He wants to blame Israel for not cooperating with his attempt at moral equivalency, his organization's attempt to publicly lynch the Jewish state, and his creating precedent that the State of Israel will be forced to defend itself against international review and attack any time it needs to defend itself against terrorism.

Jeffrey Goldberg says it well:

Richard Goldstone... contributing, more than any other individual, to the delegitimization and demonization of the Jewish state... is not clear... that he fully understands the consequences of his work.

  1. And it's not like the Goldstone Committee actually cared what the Israeli has to say that actually met with them.

  2. He says repeatedly "Israel didn't cooperate with the inquiry" - was it a refusal or they wouldn't take a response on the IDF's terms?

He also implies the IDF used phosphorus - I thought that wasn't true?

  3. Goldstone is a despicable worm of a little man.

If only the victim had agreed to participate in its own lynching, things might have been different.

On what planet is he living on?

We don't need his belated half-apology. Its too little, too late. The damage is done.

    He can go to hell!

  4. "If I had known then what I know now, the Goldstone Report............" would have had someone else's name on it.

  5. I was amused by Shimon Peres' opinion that Goldstone owes Israel an apology. I'm still waiting for Shimon to take at least the step that Goldstone took, for *his* part in getting us where we are!
