Joe, Ynet just announced that the Judea & Samaria Police have made the statement that the accident was not due to arabs throwing rocks...that no stones were thrown in that area at all. Are they shutting it up? Can you update us? And if they are ...we need to make sure the true story is out there...
ReplyDeleteWe have it from the time of the accident that there was large rock on him and his windshield was shattered from it causing the crash.
ReplyDeletePolice are now saying that no other rocks were thrown in the area so it couldn't have been from rock throwing, but the cause is still under investigation.
Meanwhile there are reports of rock throwing in lots of places.
I have to get ready for Shabbat, if I have a chance and hear more, one way or the other, I will post it before Shabbat.
Police are claiming that the large stone that hit the driver only entered the car through the windshield and hit the driver - after the accident.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, IDF and Police who showed up at the scene also came under massive stone throwing attack and had to use tear gas to clear out the Arab stone throwers.
That stretch of road is known for the stone throwing.

After trumpeting the "fact" that the crash was "definitely an accident" the police appear to be changing their tune, at least tentatively.
ReplyDeleteYnet (Hebrew only so far) has a report:

They're saying that a report from the accident investigators show a small hole in the windscreen which could have come from a stone, so stone-throwing could have caused the "accident". i.e. it was a pigua.
