Jews: What does Obama say behind YOUR back?

What Obama says behind our backs...
French President Nicolas Sarkozy reportedly told US President Barack Obama that he could not "stand" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and that he thinks the Israeli premier "is a liar."

According to a Monday report in the French website "Arret sur Images," after facing reporters for a G20 press conference on Thursday, the two presidents retired to a private room, to further discuss the matters of the day.

The conversation apparently began with President Obama criticizing Sarkozy for not having warned him that France would be voting in favor of the Palestinian membership bid in UNESCO despite Washington's strong objection to the move.

The conversation then drifted to Netanyahu, at which time Sarkozy declared: "I cannot stand him. He is a liar." According to the report, Obama replied: "You're fed up with him, but I have to deal with him every day!" (YNET)
Hey Jewish voters in the USA - guess what Obama says behind your backs, every single day?

  1. This is the same thing we're saying about Netanyahu as well. So what?

  2. Anonymous: Wrong, we don't say things behind Netanyahu's back, we say them clearly, up front.

  3. Seriously, that's the worst you have? So essentially he made no remark of character assassination, he just suggested he isn't a joy to deal with regularly......
Jameel, we understand, you don't like our President. But call us back when he actually says something bad.
Have you heard any of the things President Nixon said? They were blatantly antisemitic.
    Oh well.

  4. Wow, I never thought the day would come where I would be defending Obama...

I don't have any problem with what he said. (unless there's more that we haven't be told)
Just because Obama doesn't like Bibi Personally, or finds him to be a major pain to deal with doesn't make him anti-Semitic or anti-Israel. In fact, if Bibi is doing his job and looking out for Israel's interests first then he should be a pain to deal with for those with other agendas.
(personally, I don't think Obama is pro-Israel (to put it mildly), but I don't think he did anything wrong here)

  5. Sorry to disagree with a Renegade, but Obama's comment is a problem because it shows that the things he says in public are a lie. When he says, "Our relationship is strong," he thinks, "I hate dealing with you." It proves that the public statements are just meant to lull us into thinking Obama is positive toward Israel's leadership and working on developing a rapport, when the opposite is true.

  6. Jameel, ignore the other anonymous's here... they're down right retarded... serious mental deficiencies.

You're right on track, Obama is very two-faced about his real views on Israel.

Obama is as anti-israel as they get. He just has to be careful how he shows it or else he'd look bad in the eyes of donors and the media.

I wouldn't call it anti-Semitism, but it's not far off, Obama has a major bias against jews and Israel. He's demonstrated his bias towards the Islamic world so many times.

  7. Jews, beware. Obama stated that The Israeli foreign minister has bad table manners. He is an obvious anti-Semite.
I don't need to prove it. Since all the readers of this blog already know it's true, I can just link him to any old remark. It makes the burden of proof so much lighter.

  8. Those defending Obama.... So you agree with Obama and Sarkozy that Netanyahu is a big fat liar?

I hate your mom, she's a big liar. Then your dad says, and I have to deal with her every day!

    Not something to be ignored.

  9. Jameel, does it bother you that half your readership is clearly unhinged? Just like super-crazy, living in a dream world, unhinged?

This post and the last post have just some weird guys commenting.

  11. One cogent comment on another site pointed out that this is really a reflection of Obama's character in several ways. First, it's "all about me" -- Sarkozy makes his statement and Obama immediately turns it into "poor me." The man is narcissitic to the hilt, which is why he thinks he can charm anyone into doing anything he demands. Second, their dislike of Netanyahu isn't based on alleged lying--they're all politicians, and politicians lie all the time. It's called "diplomacy." Their TRUE beef with Netanyahu is that he won't buckle under to their demands and give them a PR "victory" to satisfy their Left and Muslim populations in an upcoming election year. Neither cares about Israel except to the extent supporting Israel gets them votes and money; they'd throw Israel under the bus in a minute if it gave them a political advantage. And for those of you who lost the thread, Jameel didn't call Obama an antisemite -- that was your gloss; what he suggests here is that Obama is a two-faced hypocrite, cannot be believed or relied upon, and says ugly stuff about you behind your back (so you shouldn't be stupid enough to swallow his public BS). And he's right. Clear now?

  12. Personally, I think its a sign of poor character for a person who says things publicly, and then does a double-face, and insults them privately.

As for "Jews" -- take it anyway you like. Maybe Obama likes you in public, and then trashes you in private. Maybe he says the same thing about Judaism's importance at his "White House Public Passover Seder", and then flops down on his bed and tells Michelle, "I hate these damn seders."

Its poor form. BTW, if this is such a non-issue, why is the White House running spin control on it?

  13. Yo, crazy people, get a grip.
If Obama disliked Tony Blair and made a disparaging remark about the (former) PM Of England, would that make him anti-British?
Is the President of the US expected to never make an off the record remark?
I don't like Bibi, but if I got caught saying that (on the record) and I was POTUS of course I would do damage control.
Why must Obama like Bibi? Is he on the record as stating his admiration for him? If not, why can't he make a remark when he thought he was off the record?
If Bibi was caught disparaging Obama in a remark he thought was off the record, would that be newsworthy?
And why is that antisemitism or antiIsrael? He just doesn't like Bibi. I think I might vote for him just for that (joke).

  14. >As for "Jews" -- take it anyway you like. Maybe Obama likes you in public, and then trashes you in private.

If this is your attempt to walk back the substance of the post, it's insufficient.

The clear implication was that this demonstrated anti-Semitism on Obama's part. That is how both the people who agreed and disagreed with you understood it. Now, you want to walk it back and say what? You were just pointing out, not the anti-semitism, but the totally ordinary hypocrisy of a politician who will pretend to "get along" with someone while really not personally liking them? BS! There was no reason to say "Jews", other than to imply anti-semitism.

And, by the way, where is the hypocrisy? Is it really a secret that they don't like each other personally? Surely, shrewd observer of American politics that you are, you couldn't have been laboring under that impression.

    >Maybe he says the same thing about Judaism's importance at his "White House Public Passover Seder", and then flops down on his bed and tells Michelle, "I hate these damn seders."

And maybe after attending a baseball game he flops down on his bed and tells Michelle, "I hate baseball games." See, my illustration didn't require any anti-semitism at all! Again, Jews, man d'char sh'mam?

    >Its poor form

    They were private remarks!

    >BTW, if this is such a non-issue, why is the White House running spin control on it?

Yes, the fact that Obama goes to great lengths to prove he's not an anti-semite only proves he really is an anti-semite. After all, only a real anti-semite would deny it.

  15. Vox-
Difference is that baseball games and sedarim aren't human beings.

Unkind remarks about baseball may disturb baseball promoters [remember Bush Sr and broccoli?], but they are impersonal.

Unkind remarks about human beings are most definitely personal.

  16. Vox Populi, you are right. They're all crazy!

  17. >Unkind remarks about human beings are most definitely personal.

And Binyamin Netanyahu should feel very free to take it personally. Again, Jews, man d'char sh'mam?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Vox-
The inference is this: Obama will say unkind personal things about Bibi behind his back, so others [not just Jews] should be concerned about what he might say behind their backs.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Vox, you clearly didn't read a word I wrote. Once more, core content, with feeling for Vox and his adherents who failed to GET IT: "Jameel didn't call Obama an antisemite -- that was your gloss; what he suggests here is that Obama is a two-faced hypocrite, cannot be believed or relied upon, and says ugly stuff about you behind your back (so you shouldn't be stupid enough to swallow his public BS)." You're the ones stretching this into "Obama is an antisemite" not Jameel. You can drop the straw man arguments any time now.
