Lucky to here with my blogger colleagues at the Tomorrow2013 President's Conference.
I am at a wild session with Ilana Dayan interviewing President Shimon Peres and Sharon Stone. Some interesting comments:
Ilana: Mr President, a senior government minister recently said that the 2 state solution is dead...what is your comment? (Some of us applauded to hearing Naftali Bennet's comment).
Peres: He is a senior politician not a senior statesman.
More soon....
I don't really care what Sharon Stone, Tony Blair, Bill Clinton, Barbra Streisand and many other has beens think of Peres. This whole do was a complete waste of money, and I cringe every time I think of it.
ReplyDeletePeres had some successes in the past (dimona, 80s financial crisis) - but this is something I expect of politicians - its like giving a prize to your doctor for telling you, you have a virus. Peres is now out of touch with reality - a better way to spend the millions that this conference cost, would have been giving money to other more worthy causes and the needy.
It's amazing that supposedly right-wing / religious bloggers take a break this week to fawn over Peres because they got some VIP passes.
ReplyDeleteJosh: Actually, what I was really looking forward to was a photo op with Dave Barry....but I missed him. Here's his article in case you missed it: "I would convert and make aliya if it weren't for the camels..."
