What is the world saying about Israel's action in Gaza?
Well, the usual suspects have been saying the usual things.
The UN, via General Secretary Ban-Ki Moon decry Israel's use of excessive force, while acknowledging Israel's right to self-defense. I'd ask what isn't excessive force? Dropping bombs in open areas, that do nothing? I get the feeling that anything that actually might have some effect would be considered excessive.
The various Arab groups are calling it "war crimes" and the Iranian Foreign Ministry claim that those killed have been "murdered".
Interestingly enough Abbas, while calling the action a "massacre" has laid the blame on Hamas. Even the Egyptian FM has been critical of Hamas.
Asked who was to blame for the dire situation in Gaza, the foreign minister replied: "Ask the party that controls Gaza."
At least the US, while calling for restraint, only requesting Israel avoid civilians.

Isn't politic-speak wonderful? Choose the "right" word and you shape the world as you want it. Sorry to the Iranians, but if you've got "war crimes" then you can't have "murders," only "killings." And if you allow "war crimes," well, it takes two, at least, to make a war.
And then there was the roundtable discussion a while back on radio in which one of the participants referred to the sending of rockets into Israel as the Palestinians "relieving tension." Perhaps they could try two aspirins or a jog around someone else's country.
