The IDF's Failure

Last week, IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz announced that the Army's goal ahead of events surrounding the Palestinian statehood bid "is not to have any deaths on either side."

The IDF invested thousands of hours, instructing (indoctrinating) commanders, soldiers, and defense coordinators that rocks do not kill -- Palestinians throwing rocks will not be targeted.

Last week on Friday, the IDF received a failing grade, when Palestinian rock throwers succeeded in murdering 2 Israelis; Asher Palmer and his 8 month old son Yonatan.

2 dead on Friday...and another 16 month old Israeli still in serious condition from rock throwing last Wednesday.

The IDF has failed.

It's no surprise.

Last week Netanyahu said, “…I often hear them accuse Israel of Judaizing Jerusalem. That's like accusing America of Americanizing Washington, or the British of Anglicizing London. You know why we're called ‘Jews’? Because we come from Judea."

Yet after Netanyahu's "historic" speech last week at the UN, there was an Israeli radio report this morning stating that Israel is considering capitulating to Palestinian demands for yet another housing freeze.

So it's no surprise at all that the IDF fails -- putting the lives of Israeli civilians at risk before those of terrorists, when our government and leaders serve up meaningless platitudes about Jewish rights while simulatenously destroying Jewish-owned homes in these same exact places.

What gave you the silly idea that the IDF & police are to protect Jews? That's almost as silly as thinking that our politicians are supposed to protect Israel.

The Palestinians have nothing to worry about. No matter how much they misbehave, Israel's politicians and military brass will rush to reward them. The Jews are expendable in the greater scheme of things.

Thanks for the link.

May all our prayers be accepted b'ratzon, and may Hashem grant our leaders the strength to protect us.

We are all coming before Hashem in a couple days and we all know what we need to do.

1100 New units approved in Gilo, in "occupied East Jerusalem" (per the Associated Press/Foxnews.com site! Hey, love the non-biased headline there). Bibi says no settlement freeze. He said it didn't work the first time, won't make any difference, per the article. Oh, it also said that tensions would be heightened.

I wonder how the family of the father and child murdered by rocks feel about the tensions. Wait, that happened BEFORE the announcement. Eh, who cares about some more Jewish lives lost? (Hashem Yikom Damam)

I HOPE these are accurate and thus that you are wrong this time, and that the report of capitulation is the inaccurate one! Build 2200, 11,000, 110,000 new units. Annex Samaria and Judea. Enough already.

Or, rather than exile the Palestinians, do something much better for us, and worse for them. Move all the damn Leftists into Ramallah(starting with Ehud Barak and Tzippi Livni)And don't allow them back. Hey, one can dream at least...

It was around the time of the expulsion from Gush Katif. The IDF became the 'operation arm of the government'. It's not my description, it was widely used to justify using the army for political ends.
