As America Throws Israel Under the Bus...

Generally reliable Shimon Shiffer reports in YNET:
The United States has indirectly informed Iran, via two European nations, that it would not back an Israeli strike against the country's nuclear facilities, as long as Tehran refrains from attacking American interests in the Persian Gulf, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Monday.
According to the report, Washington used covert back-channels in Europe to clarify that the US does not intend to back Israel in a strike that may spark a regional conflict.
In return, Washington reportedly expects Iran to steer clear of strategic American assets in the Persian Gulf, such as military bases and aircraft carriers.
In "liberal-speak", pundits say that countries don't have allies, they have interests.  That's incorrect; political leaders have interests...countries still have allies.

I hope that other representatives of the USA will stand with Israel, since it appears the current President would rather throw Israel under the bus..."Hey Iran, stay clear of us, and you can bomb Israel as much as you want."

Thanks.

For the next few months, the question is not will they help. The question is will they interfere.

I'm no lib; But I do think Israel should wean itself free of American feedings. Israel, in my assessment, will find she does not need America for anything. Sha is, after all, watched over, from beginning of year to end-of-year, by Hashem. And just as it is inappropriate for a Jew to accept charity from a Gentile, the same holds true for Israel and her American ally.

It's worse than that; some US intelligence groups are positing a "post-Israel middle east". (That is, after all, what the State Dept. appears to have wanted for some decades...)

Doesn't worry me; when nations start saying "Let's get rid of Israel" it reminds me of several Psalms. But there may be a lot of grief in the meantime--including, unfortunately, also for the USA, which apparently officially supports such measures.

Various American Presidents have hurt Jews based on their "pragmatic" approaches. This one seems to oppose us on principle!

What a load of cr--. Please post this when it is actually corroborated. Until then, why don't you publish a UFO sighting?
I imagine you wouldn't quote yesterday's NY Times op Ed piece showing how supportive the present POTUS has been to Israel.
No, not likely.
But this is a new low for you.

I'm surprised Muqata has not reported that Canada cut ties with Iran: http://www.cnn.com/2012/09/07/world/meast/iran-diplomatic-relations/index.html

Interesting; Yedioth is a leftwing paper, supportive of the present POTUS. I guess its only a reliable paper when it prints pro-Obama stories, and not those that differ from your world-view.
