I'm at the parade! Wow--have not been to one of those in years. :)
very cute. havent marched in the israel day parade for yrs (although til this day when i hear the song noladeti lashalom i automaticaly start waving my hands in the motions we were taught about 25 yrs ago. and recently someone showed me a picture of myself dancing with a rake in my hand - and that i dont even really remember!)
but today i was marching (ok actualy schlepping) in ariel (saw your daughter). imagine if all the jews from the parade in new york would make aliya and come to the 'parade' in ariel.
anyway this is my first time on a blog float. thanks!

This is amazing. I'm glad I was there by proxy.
Now I come to think of it, that's the first Pro-Israel march I've "been" on since becoming Israeli!
According to various (unpublished and unnoticed by the media), parts of the parade were delayed up to 2 hours due to the NK/others anti parade protestors who decided to lay down in the street.
Some schools had to wait over 2 hours to march as a result.

Jameel, being a very-far-out-of-towner, I've never been in the NY area on the day of the parade. In fact, I hadn't even heard of the parade until I came to NY for college. Amazing, I know. :)
