Palin as herself on SNL

Reminds me of on Motzei Shabbat when I was growing up.

Watch Love Boat.

Watch Fantasy Island

...get something to snack on...

Watch Satruday Night Live.

Then my parents sent me to yeshiva with school on Sunday. That ended my Saturday Night TV career....(and little league on Sundays)

Wherever I am, my blog turns towards Eretz Yisrael טובה הארץ מאד מאד

I hear you! I so remember many a Saturday night babysitting and settling in for SNL in the last hour.

That was a great skit.

Palin is so much cooler than Obama.

that must have been so traumatizing for you :-)

She was as lame on SNL as she has been the past 7 weeks. She has lost the election for McCain. Rightly so. She is a train wreck.

I had Sunday yeshiva too, but it didn't start until 9:00 am - so I was still able to stay up for SNL. That was in the days of the brilliant - and still unmatched - original cast.

Elie: I agree...nothing beat the original SNL cast.

Abbi: you know, I totally forgot that I was babysitting so many of those saturday nights! (What could be better than getting PAID to watch TV on Saturday night...)

My motzaei Shabbatot were exactly like that.

God, what a monumental waste of time it was to watch all those episodes of Love Boat and Fantasy Island. Thinking back now, I can't believe I actually sat and watched all that garbage.

SNL, on the other hand, was time well-spent...

It was before the internet was invented (and blogging ;-)

Hey, I got some quality TV time in on those Saturday nights. Solid Gold anyone? (What was the point of that show, aside from demonstrating all the possibilities of gold lame clothing?)

Yes, getting paid to watch tv was definitely one of the great perks of babysitting.
