This video was made in Chashmonaim -- a community where many of the husbands work part time in the US. The same situation is rampant in Beit Shemesh...so they should appreciate this video as well!
Me, on the other hand -- I travel far less than I used to, and for much shorter trips. And for once, I'm not going on a business trip the week before Pesach this year...just milluim! (really, I didn't schedule it!)
So enjoy this video...gan for husbands!
Discussion next week on aliya...while keeping your job behind.
hat-tip: Tzvi from Talmon, a great yishuv!

Very cute, but a bit too long. My husband isn't Anglo but he does travel for work. In fact, he's leaving for 8 days on Monday night and I'm starting my ninth month!
(I'm not making Pesach, but I'm still not happy.) Everybody feel sorry for me now.
Editing a video is always key.
(But at least they did a video...more than I can say about me! :)
everyone at work is gonna love this... I know one of those guys...
I always thought the money made it worth it.
My husband doesn't travel often, but the only time I feel like getting a divorce is the day he gets home.
MoI: We'll see if my wife comments on this thread :)
my husband does not do the big commute, only occasional short jaunts for conferences and the like. as he so eloquently puts it,"we can afford to work here!"
;-)
MOI: Hey that's exactly what happens to me!
The absolute worst homecoming was when older was 3 and younger was 6 months. Both had viruses, I came down with strep throat, I was nursing and I was on the verge of collapse.
Husband calls me from the airport- I say, quite calmly, I need him home ASAP.
He didn't quite hear how urgent it was to come home and spent a few hours in the office on the way home.
He walks in all smiles and "I missed everyone it's great to be home!" I nearly slammed the door in his face, completely broke into tears and shouting "Which word of AS SOON AS POSSIBLE didn't you understand!!!!!"
Really heartwarming kodak moment for everyone. :D.
I don't know, but my friends whose husbands commute seem to enjoy it a bit to much. But of course they miss their husbands terribly.
My friends were prominantly featured in that video. He really needs to learn to play nicely in gan.
Hahaha!!!
So funny, and so true....
Miluim in India.
My husband also did the traveling to chul for business (when he worked with the far east for 2-3 weeks at a time sometimes) and although something always went wrong when he was gone (the washing machine broke one trip, the car broke down when I was on my way to Yerushalayim to a doctor's appt I had waited months for) things still ran more smoothly when he wasn't home. Somehow, you know what needs to be done and just get on with it instead of waiting for his help which you never get and then get annoyed with him. And I also know some of those people - cool video!
Our community stateside has a bunch of those families who made aliyah but the husbands commute back to the states to work. We've all wondered how that works out. Lol, now we know.
OMG - I was cracking up. That's hilarious.
Thanks for making my day!
Great video! I knew at least one of the "main characters" in it. I never envisioned him acting like that; I guess I know his real side now... :-P
Hilarious!
I didn't see any yellow smiley faces, so I assume Jameel was not in this video! If he was, I'm sure the men would have been sharing a waffle, not whatever that was someone was cutting up.
Cute, but it left me feeling sad. I guess I don't understand the culture, but it felt disrespectful to men. (Yes, I am a woman and am married. My husband doesn't travel, though, but is self-employed.)
LOL!!! This is the funniest thing I've seen in a long while! It's hilarious - and so true! Hubby is at this minute in Australia... coming home on erev Pesach. That changed lock sounds like quite a good idea right now...

Point being ? children grow up.. Maybe the husband is wrong or enjoys traveling but I dont like the stress of work either.
If you lady's want to cut your spending down.. then yeah he wont have to travel so much.
Nifty.
