Goldstone slams UN resolution for failing to condemn Hamas

Judge Richard Goldstone criticized the wording of the UN Human Rights Council resolution that endorsed the his fact-finding commission's report on Operation Cast Lead, saying the resolution was wrong to targeting only Israel while failing to condemn Hamas.

"This draft resolution saddens me as it includes only allegations against Israel," AFP quoted Goldstone as telling Swiss newspaper Le Temps prior to Friday's vote.

"There is not a single phrase condemning Hamas as we have done in the report. I hope that the council can modify the text," Goldstone reportedly said.

Um. What exactly did Benedict Goldstone think was going to happen?

It reminds me of the famous scene of the French cop entering Ricky's casino in Casablanca and professing shock at discovering the existence of gambling in the establishment!

Goldstone has no excuse to pretend he didn't know how much Judeophobia pervades the UN. His surprise to say the least, is disingenuous.

The name "Richard Goldstone" should forever more be followed by the attribution "Yemach Shemo". He has earned his place among those throughout history who have done great harm to the Jewish people.

This is the story of another pathetic jewish apologist who failed to read his history lesson. They think that by doubling over backwards to appear even handed and liberal the world will finally accept them as equals. Each time, however, the world only uses these fools as pawns to further its antisemitic agenda.

Elaz, if Goldstone thought the UNHRC would hold Hamas to account, he got a lesson in how it really works in the UN.

What liberal Jews don't get is by helping those who hate Israel they don't advance peace and avert future conflicts - their actions inevitably end up doing the opposite. So let's not hear Golstone say in the future he didn't know it would lead to the latter outcome. He did know and that will be to his everlasting folly.

Maybe he is starting to do tshuva?

In a nutshell,
Next, admit he was wrong,
apologize.
ask for forgiveness.
and then go and correct your damage.
