Don't Lose the Psychological Warfare battle to Hamas.

The current Israel-Hamas war is being fought on many battlefields.  Our IDF soldiers are bravely fighting in and around, under and over Gaza by land, sea and air.

There is also another battle going on -- and you readers are all participants.  Its the psychological warfare battle being waged by Hamas and their allies around the globe, against us.

People are posting everywhere a Hamas released photo of an "alleged" kidnapping of an IDF soldier. People see this, decide it's fact, and then get deeper into depression.

Hamas is playing with you.  This is a photo they have posted and is being shared around the web:

Ostensibly. Hamas is "proving" that they have a kidnapped soldier. However...this is psychological warfare.  The exact same photo appears already on 06-05-2013.  There this photo can't possibly have anything to do with the alleged "kidnapping." Here is a source for photo when it was used over a year ago... link.

Hoax about the kidnapping of an Israeli soldier near the city of Umm el-FahmReporter learned site every day, that someone has contacted police Umm al-Fahm in advance tip about the kidnapping of a soldier near a civilian Umm el-Fahm, and so on Wednesday evening.
Our correspondent added: "The police has sent units intense around the city of Umm al-Fahm and explore the plane, but that police recently discovered that a hoax." According to our correspondent, as police are still investigating the case.

Hamas has shown repeatedly and throughout the web the following photo as proof of the IDF soldier's kidnapping.

However...soldiers don't carry their National ID card with them into battle. And more so, the Hamas already tried using this exact same photo in 2012.  See the link here, when they tried using it in Operation Pillar of Defense.

Hamas has created a FAKE twitter ID for the soldier and are posting out tweets from it. Don't believe it.

Hamas has created a movie based on photos from the soldier's Facebook page.

NONE of the above are actual facts that point to Hamas actually holding a kidnapped soldier.

Don't fall for it....and we win.

Thanks to our friends at rotter.net for some of the above information.

But didn't the idf announce that Oron Shaul was missing?

Shlomo said...

Correct, his body was not recovered after a giant explosion. It is hard to believe that he is alive. Even harder after Hamas has failed to produce any photos or video of him, despite its obvious incentive to do so.

Oron was in an armored car/APC that was hit by a rocket and blew up in a big way because of ammunition inside it [a mistake by the army]. It is doubtful that his body stayed whole, and even more so that he survived the explosion

As for the Arabs of Palestine, [Winston] Churchill wrote [in year 1929 CE], they had been brought, as a result of the Jewish presence there:

“Nothing but good gifts, more wealth, more trade, more civilization, new sources of revenue, more employment, a higher rate of wages, larger cultivated areas, a better water supply; in a word, the fruits of reason and modern science.”

In his memorandum [to Winston Churchill on July 16, 1937, Zev] Jabotinsky stressed that a partitioned Palestine would create a Jewish State too small in area to be defendable from sustained Arab attack from outside it.

[Winston] Churchill was emphatic that the partition [of Palestine] would be a mistake.

The small Jewish State envisioned in the Partition plan, he argued [in 1937 CE]:

“Can be ravished by its enemies, defeated in war, annexed to other powers or suffer any of the other incidents that are common to small States in the fortunes and chances of war.”

Amazing what a google image search will turn up.

And some of the comments here are hilarious:

“hope you folks realize the photo above is from a crude Palestinian propaganda film showing ‘training’ techniques and how glorios Palestinian fighters round up , capture and scare poorly dressed (in some non-decript generic and baggy uniform) actor portraying IDK with a pretty shiny Jeep Wrangler in the background as a prop car.”

How dare you cast aspersions on the production qualities of our guys training films! Some of us went without our Gaza grown organic kale in order to provide funds for those spiffy Jeep Wranglers! And the uniform only looks baggy because Nabil was in training for the Ramallah marathon.
