Slated for Destruction

I know most people think that the "outposts" slated for destruction by the Defense Minister who refuses to give his final (and political) signature on the permissions that all other relevant authorities have signed off on are simply a bunch of old caravans or temporary wooden structures.

They don't realize that many "outposts" are approved (and preplanned) extensions of existing towns.

This is the house of Tamar (a Nurse), Mudi (an IDF combat officer) and Shaked Bibi.

It is on State owned land 50 meters from the town of Elazar in Gush Etzion- not on any land owned by Arabs (and most "outposts" are not on any land owned by Arabs).

It received all the appropriate signatures and approvals by all the relevant government authorities.

The only one it lacks is the political signature of the Defense Minister - because this is clearly a dangerous house.

It is slated for destruction.

Settlement Outpost at Midnight

Photographed tonight -- the "Ramat Gilad" settlement outpost.

The Ramat Gilad outpost in the Northern Hills of the Shomron/West Bank is named in memory of Gilad Zar, who was murdered by Palestinian Terrorists, 8 years ago today.

The flier below appeared throughout Israel, calling on people to attend a memorial service this afternoon for Gilad Zar, the Security Commanding Officer of the Shomron Region of the West Bank.

On a normal day, the view from Ramat Gilad is simply stunning, as you can easily see the Mediterranean Sea to the West, and the hills surrounding Shechem/Nablus to the East.

Tonight however, Israel caved into to US pressure, and set in motion the demolition orders for the Ramat Gilad outpost.

Despite the land's legal purchase by Gilad Zar's father more than 30 years ago and the approval and registration of the sale by the Military Command and Civil Administration, the Minister of Defense refuses to put his final signature on the document -- in order to deep the outpost, "illegal."

Moshe Zar shows the approved maps, authorized by the IDF regional commander and IDF civil administration -- dating back at least 20 years.

The map is already officially parcelized into building lots by the civil administration, yet because Israel's Defense Minister Ehud Barak refuses to add his final signature for "political reasons", he is trying appease US President Obama and the Labor party voters by using the police to crush a settlement outpost of 10 families.

Tonight, hundreds of the outpost's sympathizers came to it's aid -- from Tel Aviv to Hevron, to send a clear message to US President Obama: The Land of Israel will not be Judenrein.

Organizers review their options while waiting to see what Defense Minister Barak has in store for them.

As of 3 AM, it appears the the hundreds of volunteers have managed to push off the outpost demolition orders.

Tomorrow's another day...as the residents of the Ramat Gilad outpost fight for their right to live as Jews, in the Biblical Land of Israel.

Netanyahu Bows to Obama's Decree

The White House has declared that contrary to previous reports, President Obama will not force the internationalization of the old city of Jerusalem.
MR. GIBBS: The goal is to be -- I guess, partly to clear some of this up, this is a -- this will be a broader speech about our relationship with Muslims around the world. I know there has been some conjecture that included in this speech will be some detailed comprehensive Mideast peace plan, and that is not the intention nor was it ever the intention of this speech. As I said a few days ago, I mean, obviously it would be difficult to give a speech and not touch on this subject -- I think that would be -- that wouldn't work -- but the notion that it will be the sole focus of the speech is not the case.

Q: Just to clarify, are you also ruling out -- forget out sole focus, but within the broader speech he is not going to say, "and here is what I want to do with the city of Jerusalem, and here is what I want" --

MR. GIBBS: No. As you know, Margaret, those are final status issues that the parties themselves have agreed to work out in whatever negotiation would be had. That's not something for the President to intone. (source, hat-tip to DovBear)
The bad news is that President Obama's is ratcheting up the pressure on Israel's Prime Minister, by sending US Sec. of State, Hillary Clinton to demand that Israel destroy caravans, trailer homes, and evict men, women and children from their homes in settlement outposts.

Kowtowing to Obama's decree, Israel's Defense Minister ordered Border Police shock troops to storm 2 outposts last night at 3 AM, evict people from their homes, and destroy these frail structures -- the most dangerous threat to Middle East Peace and global harmony.

Prime Minister Netanyahu hinted this week during a Likud faction meeting that there would be no escape from evacuating the outposts, as demanded by US President Barack Obama, in order to focus the attention on the Iranian threat. (YNETNEWS)
President Obama: Why not worry about something serious like North Korea's nuclear tests and restarting their nuclear reactor, instead of sending Hillary Clinton to impose upon Israel to destroy a bunch of trailers and evict their Jewish residents?

Stay tuned for next week; exclusive Muqata video interview with hilltop residents -- whose homes are slated for destruction in the coming weeks.
