CNN on Arab Spring Egyptian Rioters: "They were animals"

On Friday Night, Arab Spring Rioters surrounded the Israeli Embassy in Cairo, and attempted to enter the embassy and slaughter 6 Israeli security guards. This is nothing new, as Arab mobs have a long and bloody history of mob mentality, ranging from the 1929 massacre in Hevron to the lynching of 2 IDF soldiers in PA controlled Ramalla -- where a Palestinian mob stabbed and pummeled 2 IDF soldiers to death, ripped out the heart of one of them, and threw their bodies from the window of the PA police station -- all to the cheering crescendo of a Palestinian mob.

Luckily, US President Obama intervened on Friday night when Egypt's head of of their "Supreme Military Council" refused to answer urgent telephone calls from Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to defend the Israeli embassy in Cairo.
"I'm glad we managed to prevent a disaster and would like to thank US President Obama for his help. I would also like to congratulate all the intelligence officials who helped in the rescue for their excellent work.

"The fact that the Egyptian authorities acted with determination and rescued our people should be noted and we extend them our thanks," the prime minister added. "However, Egypt must not ignore the severe injury to the fabric of peace with Israel and such a blatant violation of international norms. We will hold consultations later on." YNET
For Jews to call Palestinian or Egyptian mobs, "animals", is simply not politically correct.

In the era of Israel's attempts to reach a semblance of peace with the Palestinians, we do not call the perpetrators of such barbaric acts, "animals." (Unfortunately, some Israelis are so politically correct, they even try to justify terrorist attacks against Israelis and then they get confused about what they were trying to say in the first place).

Yet Friday night's mob attack in Egypt had other targets besides the Israelis....CNN and other foreign reporters.
Cairo (CNN) -- An angry crowd lingering near the Israeli embassy in Cairo after an attack on the building a day earlier turned on journalists reporting the incident Saturday, accusing at least one of being an Israeli spy.

As a CNN crew filmed the embassy from across the street, another crew from American public television -- led by Egyptian television producer Dina Amer -- approached the building.

The crew's Russian cameraman was preparing to film the embassy when a woman in the crowd began hurling insults at the TV team, Amer said.

"There was this older lady who decided to follow me and rally people against me," Amer recalled.

"She said 'you're a spy working with the Americans.' Then they swarmed me and I was a target."

A growing crowd surrounded Amer and her colleagues, as they tried to leave the scene.

Mohamed Fadel Fahmy, a producer working for CNN, rushed to help escort Amer through the angry crowd. But suddenly the two reporters were pinned against the railing of an overpass by young men who were accusing Amer of being an Israeli spy.

Yelling "I'm Egyptian," Fahmy managed to pull Amer another 10 meters down the road, until the pressure from the mob overwhelmed the pair.

Amer screamed as she and Fahmy were knocked to the ground and the crowd started to trample them.

Other CNN journalists tried to reach in to help, but were pushed back by a wall of angry men.

Fahmy lay on top of Amer, shielding her with his body.

"I was thinking, how powerless I was because there was no police to save us," Fahmy said. "I was worried that they were going to rape her."

At that moment, a student bystander named Mohammed el Banna called out to the journalists and pointed out a nearby car.

Somehow, Fahmy managed to carry Amer to the open door of the public television crew's car, where two of her female colleagues were waiting just a few feet away.

The mob pounded on the windows and tried to reach into the vehicle as the panicked reporters fumbled and struggled to get behind the steering wheel.

When Margaret Warner, a correspondent with the PBS program "Newshour" managed to get the vehicle moving away from the crowd, men threw stones at the departing vehicle.

Amer had few words to describe the terrifying ordeal.

"They were animals," she said.

Other Egyptian journalists told CNN they were also attacked Saturday while trying to report near the Israeli embassy.

Ahmed Aleiba, a correspondent with Egyptian state television, said he was pursued by civilians and soldiers.

"I had to run because obviously they were targeting journalists," Aleiba said in a phone call with CNN. "They attacked two other TV crews."

"I was in the car getting ready to film. A soldier knocked on the window with his stick and said 'if you don't leave by midnight your car will be destroyed,"" said Farah Saafan, a video journalist with the English-language newspaper Daily News Egypt. (CNN)
How totally un-PC of CNN to refer to the democratic Arab Spring Egyptian mob as animals. I expected much more from them and I hope they will be quickly admonished by the Huffington Post.

Arabs Prefer to Live in Israel...would not move to "Palestine"

Everyone knows that Israel is an apartheid state and the worst abuser of human rights on the planet.

Yet for some strange reason, Israeli Arabs, who champion the creation of a Palestinian State are insistent that they would never want to move there, and would prefer living in the terrible country known as Israel.

Israel Arab Knesset Member Ahmed Tibi stated today in a radio interview with Ben Caspit and Immanuel Rosen:

"Even if as a result of the 20th of September, a Palestinian State does come into creation, not myself nor the rest of the Palestinians living in the borders of the State of Israel, wherever they may be, would ever move their residency to the new Palestinian country and be re-united with their brothers. (source)"

Pick a reason why:

1. Israeli Arabs may support terrorism or the Palestinian cause, but aren't stupid enough to want to move there because they know that Israel is the best possible place for an Arab to live in the Middle East.

2. They hope that the State of Israel will eventually disappear and be swallowed up by "Palestine" so there's no reason to move.

3. Do not want to be accused of supporting "Adam's Burger King" which illegally stole the Burger King licensed name and logo.

4. Concern that Sharia law may be implemented in "Palestine"

5. They know that "Palestine" will go to war with Israel and will eventually get wiped off the map.

It's a two-way street you Turkey

Turkey has now officially cut all trade ties with Israel. Earlier this week they terrorized some Israeli/Jewish businessmen at their airport. They are kicking out most of Israel's diplomats tomorrow. And they've been hinting at using naval force against the IDF at sea.

To begin with, Turkey has a lot more to lose than Israel does, so if they want to shoot themselves in the face, that's their business. It's been clear that they've wanted to rejoin the Arab third world, and have been pushing to leave modern society for a while and become an Iranian sock-puppet.

Of course, there are consequences that perhaps they aren't considering. First of all, not only will they likely be kicked out of NATO (which they should be anyway) if they try any naval shenanigans against Israel, but NATO might even be obligated to come to Israel's defense if Turkey tries anything.

Secondly, this is a two way street. Turkey wants to support Hamas. Israel can start showing their support for Turkey Occupied Cyprus, for Turkey Occupied Western Armenia, and even for the oppressed Kurds.

In fact, Israel might go to the Hague to demand that Turkey get out of Cyprus and the other lands they are illegally occupying. Not to mention free all their Kurdish Prisoners of Conscience.

We might want to start exposing their war crimes against the Kurds (which we should do anyway). We will want to better publicize the Armenian Genocide that Turkey perpetrated.

You know what? Reading the above, you realize that Turkey is not such a nice country after all. Who wants 'em.

Gematria in the UN

I pointed out an interesting Gematria to friend Robert this morning.

The Palestinians always like to use the phrase and false claim of "Justice". And they are now clamoring to be the 194th member state of the UN. Interestingly enough, the word צדק or "Justice" has the Gematria value of 194.

This afternoon friend Robert sent back an interesting response.

Deuteronomy 32:21

They aroused my jealousy with a non-god and provoked me with their vanities; I will arouse their jealousy with a non-people and provoke them with a vile nation.

The Gematria of "בְּלֹא עָם" a "non-people" or a "non-nation" is 143. (A well-known and accurate description of the "Palestinians")

As it happens, if they get in, the Palestinians will, more accurately, be the 143 member to join the UN following the original 51 founding members who founded it.

If you're into Gematriot, then you'll appreciate it, and you can then assume they're likely to get in.

This is the NIF

This is the NIF (from Wikileaks):

(C) New Israel Fund (NIF) Associate Director in Israel Hedva Radovanitz, who manages grants to 350 NGOs totaling about 18 million dollars per year, told PolOff on February 23 that the campaign against the NGOs was due to the "disappearance of the political left wing" in Israel and the lack of domestic constituency for the NGOs. She noted that when she headed ACRI's Tel Aviv office, ACRI had 5,000 members, while today it has less than 800, and it was only able to muster about 5,000 people to its December human rights march by relying on the active staff of the 120 NGOs that participated.

Radovanitz commented that the NIF was working behind the scenes through many NGOs to prevent the NGO legislation from passing in its current form.

She commented that she believed that in 100 years Israel would be majority Arab and that the disappearance of a Jewish state would not be the tragedy that Israelis fear since it would become more democratic. She also said the NIF was currently re-evaluating its strategy and was hoping to create a movement rather than just a lot of NGOs.

She said the NIF had no plans to build a human rights constituency within the right wing of Israeli society, though she believed politics had shifted to the right for the foreseeable future.

Oh, and if you were wondering about B'tselem and where they have the time and money to attack the settlers so much...

(C) B'Tselem Director Jessica Montell, who estimated her 9 million NIS ($2.4 million) budget is 95 percent funded from abroad, mostly from European countries,

Tel Aviv's Biggest Block Party Ever

I wouldn’t define it as the largest protest in Israel’s history. That I would leave to the anti-Oslo protest in the Knesset’s Rose Garden that garnered some 500,000 protesters a little more than a decade and a half ago.

No, I would call this Tel Aviv’s biggest block party ever.

But now there are reports coming out that this block party wasn’t as spontaneous as it was meant to appear to be. Kalman Libeskind a Maariv blogger found that Stan Greenberg was involved months ago in helping lay the groundwork for this "spontaneous" protest alongside various radical left groups. And who know if some CANVAS associated training wasn’t too. Libeskind points out how much money is needed to run a "grassroots" protest like this.

Certainly this turned out to be one of the larger brainwashing attempts in Israeli history, where more people were repeatedly and unknowingly indoctrinated with concepts like communism, socialism, and anarchy all in one shot, and anyone who dares brings that up gets attacked (see the rabid comments that are soon sure to appear below).

And while there were organizers that wanted to also work on their other far-Left agendas at the same time, others felt that it was too much to push on the public simultaneously, and people would make the connection and be turned off.

Heck, some independent research uncovered that 80% of the leadership are professional left and far left-wing activists, though they are trying to hide that so as to not turn off the general public.

Even Dafni Lief was deterred from publicly admitting that she signed a letter saying she refused to be drafted into the IDF.

Lucky for us, Kadima realized that it was outside the inner circle on this event, and so Tzipi Livni did her best to try to ingratiate herself into the inner circle with her comments yesterday when she said that “Chareidim and Settlers won’t be at this protest, because they’ll be getting money from the government.”

Well thank you Tzipi for explaining to us once again why you shouldn’t be Prime Minister, and better defining for us who made up and organized this block party – the far left who you keep trying to court, but don’t want you.

Politically, except for Shas (though probably not), this political event will cause a shakeup of the Left only. Kadima will drop, and the more communist and socialist oriented parties will grow, perhaps even a new one. One can only hope that the damage they will be able to do to our overall economy will be minimal.

Now in the real world, there are issues that were raised that were legitimate (Every lie must have an ounce of truth to stand on). Just that the communist and socialist solutions (the legacy infrastructure that brought us here in the first place) are the wrong ones.

Companies are now becoming more responsive.

ToysRUs for instance has decided to bypass the Lego importer and bring in their Legos direct. They said there’s no reason the importers are price gouging so much, and Lego prices will soon be the same as they are in the rest of the world (a half to a third of what they are now in Israel). I personally look forward to that.

Food prices are dropping too.

Perhaps another result will be that Bibi Netanyahu will be able to pass more of his reform bills and introduce more privatization, break up some monopolies, and release more land, shaking us from the remaining shackles of our socialist history that is holding us down. It would be nice to see some relevant tax reform.

But still, it is worrisome what is going on quietly behind the scenes. The radical left organizations that are quietly laying down infrastructures to undemocratically shake and tumble the government and the country.

Still, they're making one mistake.

Bibi isn’t Mubarak, and Israel isn’t Tunisia.

We live in a healthy, vibrant, free Jewish democracy – and as such, protests, even radical left wing organized protests, are not a existential threat to our society, instead they are a measure of how healthy and strong our country really is.
