You missed the EU's attack too ;)
as a long time fan, I'm sad to see you couldn't muster one note of remorse about the use of force by settlers against soldiers.
What do you think about that particular phenomenon?
What do you expect the govt to say -- we endorse violence against our authority?!
elchonon
that is a stinky comment to make and brings shame and disrepute on you.
The post missed this latest full-scale latest attack on the settlers in Ha'aretz titled "Settlers Preparing for War".
Well, the title might be true, as we settlers make up a significant portion of the officers and combat soldiers that actually fight the enemy.
But until Olmert goes to jail, and Barak is kicked out for extreme incompetence it is unlikely we will be fighting the real enemy (Hamas, Hizbollah, Iran) for a while, even if they launch first.
Normally RabinFest just lasts until mid-November, but with elections in 3 months, the attacks against settlers will continue and escalate until February.
It's so much easier to provoke and instigate against settlers than to win an actual war against the enemy.
What I don't understand (well, I do really) is how all the papers ignored the Border Policemen injured yesterday in the Left-wing riots near Neilim.
You want to talk about organized and dangerous, Leftists are out to destroy the army and the country.

Its not an issue of remorse; I think Ive clearly stated many times on this blog that I'm against violence against the army and police (and against taking the law into your own hands). My kids know that violence and rock throwing is clearly out of bounds.
That said, this particular "phenomena" is a direct result of Ehud Barak intentionally looking to provoke the settlers. The Federman's home in Kiryat Arba is not on "arab land" -- its within the municipal boundries of Kiryat Arba, they have been living there for years...and yet the police coulnt even give the Federman's THIRTY seconds to clear out their home, let alone grab a few diapers and sweaters?
The police were sent to be intentionally brutal. When the entire judicial system and police are against you, can you honestly blame anyone for their anger at the police? Its very nice to sit back and say, "you must follow law and order", yet when the police destroy your home, with no warning, and you have no recourse, and you see your entire life buried before you, what do you expect them to do -- greet the police with open arms and with hugs and flowers?
Had the police done this to Arabs, you can be sure the response would have been 10 times worse; see the Yaalin weekly riots against the IDF, the violence (which has resulted in the permanent wounding of IDF soldiers), and how the Israeli left and anarchists join in the fray without a word of condemnation from the Israeli government?
2:19,
Ive gotten very serious beatings from border guards for doing absolutely NOTHING!! like standing on the sidewalk to the entrance to jerusalem and being run over by horses, smashed up by border troops.
I will say this a zillion times.. I have a cousin in egoz golani, a good buddy in sayeret golani (palsar) a buddy in duvdavan, buddies in tzanchanim, givati, nschal you name it.. heck one of my best friends served as a border guard in jerusalem.. he REFUSES to do miluim in msgav and serves in the regular army.
I am sorry that I can not find it in me to condemn rock throwing against border guards.. this isnt that I support it!
I stood on the roof of house #2 in amonah and saw the most brutal beatings I have EVER seen in my life!!!!
This isnt that they are following orders even when those orders are to break bones.. they relish this!!
Additionally in my 6 years as a settler in tapuach, gush katif and now chevron.. I have NEVER seen someone just throw rocks at a border guard without some valid reason..

Funny how often I hear the exact same words from Arabs I talk to.
