Israeli Unification

While it's sad we aren't able to do this on a constant basis, I'm always in awe of Israel when we unify in time of war. Today's Voice of Israel Radio "Kol Yisrael" broadcast the twelve o'clock news, and the end of the broadcast went something like this:

1. The goodwill free-loan medical equipment organization "Yad Sarah" will be bringing shipments of medical equipment to the Northern Communities starting Sunday. The public is urged to donate, and their phone number is 02-644-4444. [J@TM: And if you want to donate to them from the US or around the world, their website with more information is yadsarah.org]

2. The Ulpanot and Yeshivot of Bnei Akiva in Central Israel announced an open invitations for shabbat to families from Northern Israel wishing to spend shabbat in a quiet atmosphere.

3. Hundreds of residents of Herziliya, Ra'anana and Hod HaSharon have opened their homes to families from the North to spend shabbat and next week with them.

4. Yoram Ga'on's regular Friday radio show this afternoon will be broadcasting from Nahariya.

It's times like this that Israel's best shines through -- it's heartwarming, encouraging and promising that we will survive this crisis as well.

Shabbat Shalom!

Jameel.

The real sign of an ongoing change in attitudes is when you listen to the radio and Pe'erli Shachar from Reshet Bet is attacking Zahava Gal-On (head of Meretz) for her moonbat ideas.

Sorry...that last comment was mine.

I think Yad Sarah is a free-loan, not a free-load organization. Unless maybe the announcement is from Meretz radio.
