translation; With G-d's Help. Yes. We can! Shas [party]
Is this really the new billboard sign for Israel's "Shas" Ultra-Orthodox Sephardi political party?
Its been flying around the web...

A winning slogan is a winning slogan.
Maybe they can...but I really hope they don't.
So--is a vote for Likud a vote for Shas or is a vote for Kadima a vote for Shas?
Gila: Every vote is a vote for Shas -- they will be in the next government, receiving millions, regardless of who the PM is.
Of course Shas can...the only question is how much you pay them to do it. Years ago, confused by the decision making process at Shas (supporting governments willing to expel Jews from Gaza, for example), I said to a friend naively..."but this doesn't make sense" and their answer was - "of course it doesn't make cents [sense] - all they care about is dollars." In the years that have followed, I have seen this to be the sad truth. Shas will be bought by whatever part can afford them. A vote for Shas simply means you are willing to go to the highest bidder...they have another name for this in sections of New York (and probably Tel Aviv), but I'll leave that to your imagination.
Speaking of copying Obama:

I saw this on your blog the other day and thought that it was a joke, until I actually saw this sign on the side of a bus today.
DC: You should take this blog more seriously! :-)
